Pathway To Surgery

You have made the decision to have Bariatric Surgery….now what?

Step 1:
Attend one of our free informational seminars!

They are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every Month at 6:00pm and the 1st Saturday of each month at 12:00pm. At the seminar we discuss the surgery options we have available and answer questions to help you make your decision.

You can click here to Register or you can call our office at 201-227-5533!!

Step 2:
Meet with one of our surgeons.

After receiving your information at one of our seminars our office staff will contact you to schedule a one on one consultation with one of our doctors, at one of our convenient locations. At this initial consultation your medical history is reviewed and your surgical options are discussed. We will provide you with the list of necessary tests and additional appointments necessary for you to have surgery.

In some cases patients may be required to complete a 3 or 6 month medically supervised weight loss program by there insurance.

Step 3:
Get Insurance approval and have Surgery!

We work very hard to make sure that by the time we submit a case to the insurance company we have everything needed to get the case approved. We will give the patient a tentative surgery date. Once the actual insurance approval is received the tentative surgery date becomes the patient’s actual surgery date.

We will have the patient come in to sign informed consents and confirm surgery time and instructions.

Then it is off to surgery!!

Step 4:
We want to see you!

Bariatric surgery is a tool. Regular follow up is important, we would like to see our patients on a regular basis to discuss your diet, exercise and your overall lifestyle changes. The doctors will make recommendations to enhance your weight loss.

Join us the 3rd Wednesday of every month for our Support Group. This is a forum for those who are contemplating surgery and who are at different stages of their weight loss journey to meet and discuss issues and topics that are relevant. Patients give wonderful tips for success and just encourage each other to make those life changes that are necessary.
