Private Rooms: Private rooms can be obtained on an availability basis. There is an out-of-pocket expense for this. Insurance does not cover this. If you are interested, please inquire at the Admitting Department.

Living Wills/Advanced Directives: A Living Will is a written document, signed by you, in which you decide the kind of care you would want, if for any reason you are unable to make health care decisions for yourself. You donot need to have a Living Will and you will receive appropriate medical care whether or not you have an Advanced Directive. If you already have a Living Will, please make our staff aware. You will need to present a copy of it when you come in to sign your consent for surgery. If you do not have a Living Will, but are interested in one, please ask the Admitting Department or our staff for a pre-printed one (you fill in the blanks).

Local Lodging: Some patients who live far away from the Hospital prefer to spend the night before their surgery close by. This is especially convenient if your surgery is booked for early in the morning.

The Clinton Inn Hotel is located about one mile from Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. They offer special rates for our patients and their families. They are located at 145 Dean Drive in Tenafly, New Jersey. Please call directly for more information at (201) 871-3200.

Visiting Hours: General visiting hours at the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center are from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Intensive Care Units have twenty-four hour visiting for family members only.
